VNH Training Center to introduce 2 brand new Cabri G2 helicopters for pilot training.
On October 22nd. 2014, at Vung Tau Airport, Ba Ria Vung Tau Province, VNH’s Training Center has organized the Introducing Ceremony of 2 Cabri G2 Helicopters for pilot training.
This one Piston engine small helicopter manufactured by Guimbal – France, approved by FAA with advanced technology features such as speed, height, versatility, cost efficiency, safety and especially, auto-rotate capability and integrated with many control specifications from different type of modern helicopters, is one of the best helicopter for training used by USA, Gemany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Romania and China. Total flight hours of the Cabri G2 fleet in all over the world is 41,000 hours. 4,000 flight hours is the highest number of hours flown by 1 unit of the fleet. 78 units have been manufactured and delivered and the number of orders continues to increase. 135 orders have been made for the period 2008 – 2016.

With a contingent of experienced pilot and technical instructors properly trained in USA, France, Germany along with a modern and comprehensive training facility at Vung Tau airport, the addition of the 2 Cabri G2 helicopters strengthens VNH’s Training Center capability to meet the yearly requirement of training for 12 to 15 commercial pilots for VNH to have 60 to 70 pilots by 2020. In the mean while, the Training Center is ready to train for pilots of Vietnam People’s Navy, Coastal Guard, Police, civil and foreign partners’ pilots.
From 2012 to present, VNH’s Training Center has been training for 9 military pilots of which 5 pilots have been certified by CAAV as commercial pilots and are now operating in VNH’s subsidiaries. The Training Center have been provided conversion and advanced training for 6 pilots of the Vietnam People’s Navy
In 2014, the Training Center has completed 3 IFR training courses for 14 pilots, ensuring the pilots qualified to operate in complicated weather conditions. 6 trainees are currently under basic training of which 5 trainees from the Air Force Officer College and 1 trainee recruited from an University.
After delivery, the 2 Cabri G2 helicopters have been put in use for the training of 2 flight instructors and 6 pilot trainees at VNH’s Training Center.
