Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH) to open flight training course 2013
On the morning of 19th March 2013, at Vung Tau Airport, Training Center of Vietnam Helicopter Corporation under the Ministry of Defense organized the Opening Ceremony of 2013 Flight Training Course. Colonel Nguyen Van Vinh, Director of the Training Center attended and made a speech.
In 2012, the Training Center carried out more than 500 hours of flight conversion training for 26 pilots. In particular, the center conducted training for 05 Air Force trainees for 100% complete 272 hours of safe and on-progress flight; training for 06 Navy pilots for 104 hours and 54 minutes of qualitied and effective flight; training for 03 flight instructor utilizing EC-120B helicopter in Singapore; conversion training for 04 pilots flying EC-155 B1 helicopter and 06 pilots flying MI-171 helicopters; professional training for 47 aviation technicians, 181 ramp workers serving oil and gas customers. Besides, the Center in cooperation with Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company performed over 1,950 hours of commercial flights to reach targeted tasks of production and business of the Corporation. In 2012, the center was awarded with Honor Titles by the Corporation.

During 2013, the Training Centre has completed 485 hours of training flight as scheduled and over 100 additional hours of task flight. The center has particularly continued to hold transfer training for 04 Air Force trainees; IFR training for 6-7 pilots of the Corporation; additional flight training 04 Navy pilots on EC-120;training for 02 flight instructors of EC-120 and 01 instructor of MI-171; conversion training for 05 new pilots flying MI-171 , training for 02 instructors in the U.S. and advanced training for 02 technical instructors in Singapore. The Center in association with Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company hold periodical training for the flight crew and other coaching duties as well as planned commercial flights.
In his speech at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Vinh praised and highly valued the achievements of the Training center’s staff in the past year and simultaneously called for the staff’s earnestness in organizing and executing training regulations and disciplines to ensure absolute safety during training process, thus, striving to complete all tasks of 2013. Colonel Nguyen Van Vinh also reminded the pilots to learn proactively in order to improve their skills meeting requirements and to be qualified not only domestically but also internationally, thus they can be independent, self-controlled in all situations.
