FLARE TIP REPLACEMENT FOR PREMIER OIL ON THE LEWEK EMAS FPSO
On 19th June 2014, Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company (VNH South) successfully performed flights of flare tip replacement for Premier Oil on the Lewek Emas FPSO, at Chim Sao platform by Super Puma L2 VN8610.
This is the second time VNH South co-operated with Vertech Offshore – Norway, a leading company on flare tip replacements worldwide to provide this special service in Vietnam. In 2010, VNH South also completed the project for Cuu Long JOC at Su Tu Vang field.
To ensure this flight accuracy and safety, VNH South and Vertech had discussed of procedures, reported to Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam - CAAV for approval and set up the Standard Operating Procedure – SOP. In addition, the pilots of VNH South and Vertech had a training flight at Vungtau airport on 17th June 2014.
After two projects of successful cooperation, Vertech highly appreciated VNH South’s professional and experience of its Pilots. VNH South will continue to coordinate with Vertech to replace flare tip for Cuu Long JOC at the end of August, 2014.
Both parties are on discussion to reach a long-term agreement for similar projects in Vietnam and the region in the upcoming time.
